  • How Many Holes In Frame Need To Be Drilled For Firestone Ride Rite Springs On 2016 Ford F-450?
  • The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs - Double Convoluted - Rear Axle, # F2176, will require drilling 4 holes per side for the upper brackets. It also will also include drilling two holes on the driver's side for relocating a line according to the attached instructions. The drilling of these holes will not have any major weakening of the frame. The frame will actually be supported by this system, so there isn't need for concern. There isn't an Air Suspension system that doesn't...

  • Where Should the Slide Be Positioned When Replacing the Idler Head on a Slide Out Awning
  • I contacted the manufacturer about the proper installation of the Replacement Idler Head and Roll Tube for Solera RV Slide-Out Awning # LC87FR. It should be installed approximately 5-6 inches away from the side of the camper (slide topper opened 5-6inches). There needs to be 14 turns of tension on each side of the slide topper arms (14 turns counter clockwise on idler side, 14 turns clockwise on drive side). It is strongly suggested to have a qualified dealer/technician make the repairs...

  • Wiring Needed To Install A Tekonsha Trailer Brake Controller On A 1991 Ford F-450 Cab & Chassis
  • If you have a Tekonsha Trailer Brake Controller like # 90885, trailer wiring is needed and you found a good universal 7 pole wiring kit # ETBC7. Once that is installed you can install your Tekonsha Brake controller. If you bought the Prodigy P2 it should have came with the # 7865 connector, but if not the # 7865 is what you need. I've included a bunch of videos for you to watch to help with the install!

  • Can RV Backup Camera be Wired Up to Be an Observation System
  • In order to wire up an RV's backup camera to easily be an observation system that allows you to view behind you at any time you'd just need to wire the activation circuit of the camera to the running light circuit instead of the reverse light circuit. This allows you the ability turn on running lights whenever needed to see behind you.

  • Is There A Way To Flat Tow A 2019 Ford Transit Connect XLT?
  • I took a look at the Demco Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly with Disc Brakes # DM9713045 that you mentioned, and compared the maximum weight capacity of this dolly to the GVWR of your 2019 Ford Transit Connect, and it appears that your vehicle is too heavy. According to my research, your vehicle has a GVWR of 5,060 to 5,302 lbs, making your Transit Connect 260-502lbs too heavy. Since your vehicle cannot be flat towed, and the dollies we offer aren't enough to support the weight of your vehicle,...

  • PEX Connection for Seaflo Diaphragm Pump Variable Flow, # SE96FR
  • The Seaflo Diaphragm Pump for Boats and RVs - Variable Flow, # SE96FR has connections that allow it to connect to 1/2" lines but it does not come with a PEX ready fitting. I have contacted the Vendor to discuss options and they informed me that while some customers have successfully made connection to PEX, it is not designed for this intent. The barbed fitting has the correct dimensions but not quit at the needed rigidity of wall thickness. Some have used the Replacement Fitting for Seaflo...

  • Zero Point Reset Not Working for Lippert Ground Control 3.0 on a 2017 Thor Quantum
  • I spoke with my contact at Lippert about you trying to Zero Reset your Lippert Ground Control 3.0 # LC358590. Try following the instructions and then pressing the front and back 10 times firmly and quickly which should reset the Zero Point. If you are still having issues after this just let me know and I can help you troubleshoot further.

  • Is it Possible to Install Draw Tite Hitch 41990 with Zero Drop Mounting Brackets
  • With the part # 41990 we do not have any zero drop brackets to use when installing it. Due to the universal nature of this cross tube though you could pretty take it to a qualified fab shop and have them fabricate a way to mount it to your trailer in the location you want.

  • Can the Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket Be Mounted Directly to a Bare Roof
  • I took a look at the mounting clamps for the Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Steel Cargo Basket part # RMCB and it does appear that there is a way to attach the cargo basket directly to your roof without crossbars. However, I cannot recommend this nor would you be covered under warranty if anything were to happen so you will need to proceed with caution. That said, if you take the upper bracket and omit the lower, you could then most likely attach this directly to the roof with some self-tapping...

  • Install Video of Wheel Masters 4-Hose Inflation Kit WM8208
  • I do have an installation video of the Wheel Masters 4-Hose Inflation Kit part # WM8208 but keep in mind that the kit is more or less universal and not every wheel it will be installed on is the same so your application could vary. That said, the mounts for the rear wheels are designed to clip onto the outside lip of the wheel similar to a wheel weight. If this method will not work for your wheels then you may need to adjust the clip to better suit your wheels or possibly use some sort...

  • 2017 Ford F450 Location for Brake Controller
  • If you watch the video I attached you will see where the brake controller install harness # 3034-p is on your 2017 Ford F-450 chassis motorhome. Its behind a panel that is right below the center console of the RV. For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. This is a proportional brake controller that senses the amount of braking the tow vehicle...

  • Locating the Factory Plug for a Brake Controller on a 2016 Ford F-450
  • There are a few different places that the connector could be located. When trying to install a brake controller, like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 along with the Adapter # 3034-P for your 2016 Ford F-450 you will want to look around the driver side dash. It could be up and under the dash or behind a panel as is demonstrated in both of the videos that I attached for older model Ford trucks.
